Overview

Known simply as 'Bell to Moreland', this Melbourne project included the consolidation of 2km of rail tracks, including the replacement of four level crossings. The solution also saw the construction of a new elevated rail bridge built over existing roads to improve safety, reduce congestion, and create better east-west connections for the community. The project included major groundworks to connect pathways, parks and better public amenities for the surrounding communities of Coburg and Brunswick. Realsurv worked with project partners to manage survey data including the use of drone-assisted UAV aerial surveys, modelling, pre-construction mapping and coordination of earthwork preparation.

Major roles and responsibilities

  • UAV aerial drone surveying, 3D laser scanning, management of machine control models, conformance reports and management of all survey related earthworks activities.
